ILST Dec 16th.

Posted by michaeltneff on Dec 9 2017 - 9:06pm

For all new Positions of Responsibility, you must attend one of two Intro to Leadership skills training offered during your term, either the one on December 16,2017 or May 19, 2018 in order to get credit for the position.  You can only opt out if you have attended 3 or more PORs or are NYLT trained.  Please either register to attend before Monday night or list yourself under regrets, so I know you are making a decision as to which ILST you are going to attend.  Credits for a POR are required for Rank requirements for First Class and above.  We must have a positive head-count for food so no late entries will be allowed without direct contact with the scoutmaster.

Order of the Arrow (OA) Ordeal is January 12-14

Posted by michaeltneff on Dec 9 2017 - 9:05pm

Scouts who were called out into the Order of the Arrow should plan to attend the weekend coming up in January when they will be inducted.  Be sure to wear your field uniform.  The induction or Ordeal weekend is January 12-14, 2018 and is a separate event with cool ceremonies, service, and a camping.  Plan to arrive by 6 pm to Camp Lanoche.  Ask Scoutmaster Cothran to know if your name was called.   Want to know what to expect at the induction weekend?  ask Mr. Neff or any scout that is a member of the Order of the Arrow.  How to tell?  they will have a triangular patch over their right shirt pocket.
